• MRC IS DECLARED LEGAL BY MOMBASA COURT

25TH JULY 2012 The Mombasa Republican Council is now free to operate. A three judge bench of the High court in Mombasa has today declared that the movement which has been accused of calling for secession especially through its slogan, Pwani si kenya, was legal and urged its members to form a political party through which they can voice their concerns. However, attorney general Githu Muigai has indicated that his office will appeal that decision arguing that the court did not consider legitimate constitutional concerns of the government. The AG asserts that any group or organization challenging the constitutional authority and territorial integrity of the republic of Kenya cannot enjoy protection by the constitution. Andrew Ochieng reports.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Antti Lehmusjarvi, European Union Legal advisor: "The prosecutor yesterday, and he was quite happy with the amount of evidence and technical support we were provided in the last two cases. Of course the prosecutor will start now with these pirates, which were now handed over from this ship. But, as I said, we are not aware of any particular problems. Of course there is an independent legal procedure in Kenya and we will wait what the Kenyan court will decide." 12. Wide of police vehicles with suspected pirates driving out of port STORYLINE: French commandos in the Kenyan port of Mombasa marched a band of suspected pirates down the gangplank of a French naval frigate on Wednesday, before turning the 11 Somali men over to Kenyan authorities. French officials say the suspects will be tried for their alleged attack on the Liberian cargo ship Safmarine Asia last week. The three French commandos, who may have been part of the pre-dawn raid that captured the pirates on April 14, wore black balaclavas to conceal their identities. The pirates, who did not smile or speak to gathered reporters as they left the Nivose, appeared to range from in age from about 20 to 40. Few wore shoes. They were not handcuffed or shackled. The men were rushed from the ship into a waiting Kenyan police van. Kenyan officials received the men and took the pirates' equipment: two skiffs, three grappling hooks, four rusty assault rifles, two bags of bullets and a ladder. The Nivose is serving in the international fleet trying to protect the 20,000 ships that pass through the vital Gulf of Aden trade route every year. The ship pulled into dock at 9 a.m. (0600 GMT) and anchored next to the German frigate Rheinland-Pfalz, which earlier this month handed over to Kenya seven men they captured after they attacked a German naval supply ship off the Somali coast. The captain of the Nivose, Jean Marc LeQuilliec, said sailors pursued the pirates in a dramatic night time chase and caught them in the early raid. "They received two boats on each side and the helicopter just on top of them so they didn't want to resist," he said. France has traditionally been aggressive in fighting piracy. This was its ninth military operation against suspected pirates. Those who have attacked French citizens are taken to France for trial. Others are taken to court in Mombasa following an agreement between Kenya and the European Union. Child prostitution in Kenya has reached a shocking level. Extreme poverty and sex tourism lead to the sexual exploitation of children on a massive scale. RT Doc investigates what is being done about the problem and who profits from it. According to a 2006 UNICEF report, one Kenyan child in three is involved in underage prostitution. It is a drastic situation caused by incredibly poor living conditions, with around 50% of the population below the poverty line. Sex tourism is flourishing and a major contributor to the sexual exploitation of minors, with Kenya among the top 5 world destinations for child abuse. Despite being illegal, child prostitution is very common, with kids as young as 8 or 9 being paid by adults to perform sex acts. It’s their only way to make a living. Underage children can’t work legally in Kenya but many have to drop out of school because they can’t afford textbooks and school uniforms. Kids who have no one to care for them often end up in children’s homes where they are easy targets for abuse. At the same time, many NGOs, that are supposed to help children, are actually making money from the problem and doing nothing to solve it. In such dire conditions, a shocking number of children resort to prostitution to survive. They put their lives on the line every day as they are exposed to potential violence and life-threatening diseases. While sex tourists take their guilty pleasures and many others profit from catering to their twisted appetites, children pay the ultimate price. Many underage sex workers have their own children at a very young age, continuing the vicious circle of kids born to extreme poverty and taking to prostitution to eat. In this film, young prostitutes talk about what led them to the sex trade and why they can see no alternative. We also meet child protection representatives to find out what’s being done to help the victims and to combat child prostitution in Kenya. Here is proof Obama was born in Kenya. Impeachment and trial soon underway. Michelle Obama Admits Kenya is Barack Hussein Obama's Home Country http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6M7Rp_Ghv6k http://obamacrimes.com/ * The United States Constitution mandates the President of the United States must be a United States "natural born" Citizen -- Article II, Section I; * Obama was born in Mombasa, in what is now Kenya, Africa; * Obama is an Indonesian Citizen as he was adopted/acknowledged by his stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian Citizen; and * The Healthcare bill (ObamaCare) signed into Law by Obama on March 23, 2010 is unconstitutional and voidable since he is ineligible to serve as President of the United States. The crucial issues regarding Obama, the "IMPOSTOR", continue to grow. However, the most important issue is Obama not being Constitutionally eligible to be President: 1) not being "natural born" being born in Mombasa, Kenya; and 2) even more important the fact that Obama was "adopted" or "acknowledged" by his step-father, Lolo Soetoro, and his school record in Indonesia indicates the "Impostor's" name as "Barry Soetoro" and his nationality being "Indonesia". Obama, the Impostor's legal name is "Barry Soetoro".

http://www.nation.co.ke Changamwe Member of Parliament Omar Mwinyi appeared in court on Monday where he is facing charges in relation to violence that rocked ODM party nominations at Bomu primary school, Mombasa. Through his lawyers, the MP wants the court to defer plea for 30 days in order to allow ODM internal party dispute resolution mechanisms to be explored first. “The charges are abuse of the court process, the party has internal dispute resolutions mechanisms,” said defence lawyer Mohamed Khatib. He added that the Directorate of Public Prosecutions is being used to abuse legal process.
